Ukrainian Language
The Ukrainian language is a one of the Eastern European Slavic languages. It was considered the second most beautiful sounding language at the Paris International Language Contest in 1928 and 1934. Now about 48 million people use this language as their mother tongue.
No one knows when did the Ukrainian language appear, but some historians say that Ukrainian is older than Greek, Latin, and other Slavic languages. But probably Ukrainian appeared in the 11th – 12th centuries as an independent language. The first work published in Ukrainian language was Ivan Kotlyarevsky’s epic-style poem “Eneyida” in 1798.
